Sen. Cory Booker introduced the furthest reaching marijuana legalization bill in the Senate – with an important focus on reforming our broken criminal justice system. I conceptualized and executed a unique digital-first announcement of the bill, instead of the more traditional press conference typical for Congress.
It was highly successful, widely-shared on social media, and closely covered by the media. Since executing this unique digital-first strategy, the office has adapted this method for subsequent bill introductions.
